Going from church choir to exploring poetry and music production, Dee Smiff has always been quite the creative soul. The Tennessee native strives to paint a moving picture with every project, which translates exceptionally well with the listeners who appreciate quality storytelling. As he continues to navigate through his complicated 20’s, Dee Smiff has dropped a brilliant new single, “time back!”
On “time back!,” Dee Smiff shared,
“I wrote this song at the end of 2020 when my life was in SHAMBLES. COVID was still going crazy, I was terrible at relationships with the people around me, car troubles, mad depressed, and down on my luck.”
“time back!” has Smiff begging for life to rewind itself as virtually every obstacle was thrown his way in the past few years. Flawlessly produced by 8een, “time back!” is sonically complex and lyrically exquisite, and we fully stand by that. More than anything, this refreshing cut makes us want to make the most of the time we have left in this world.
“But writing this song and many others during that time helped me through it all, honestly. I truly didn’t even record it until November of last year and now here we are. I had to take my time with it, for real. If you feel like your time has been wasted in any capacity, especially due to COVID, stream ‘time back!’ at the loudest of volumes for me today, ‘cause I’m right there with you.”
