It’s been a bit over a year since we last covered Hayd, and in our opinion, that’s way too long to go without sharing his life-changing music. The Michigan native somehow manages to captivate us with, oftentimes, just his calming vocals and a soothing piano arrangement or comforting guitars. Having made his way to sunny Los Angeles to pursue music, Hayd has unveiled his emotive new single, “Lost.”
At a time when Hayd felt lonelier than ever before, he turned to the one thing he could always rely on: songwriting. It’s this beautiful connection that he has with music that brings us the touching lyricism and melancholy instrumentals of “Lost.” More than anything, Hayd wants “Lost” to bring people together in a way that only his music could, which we’d say has already happened.
On “Lost,” Hayd shared,
“I moved to Los Angeles earlier this year and it was the first time in my life I felt completely alone. I was away from my family, my home, my friends… It was a dark time and I wrote ‘Lost’ at one of my lowest points. It’s really just a plea for help and I hope that the song can be a light and an anthem for anyone who feels utterly alone.”
