Warning: Aidan Bissett is the 19-year-old you don’t want to overlook. Not only does he have a way of getting us pumped up every alternative pop banger, but Bissett also spoils concertgoers with an unforgettable performance. Ahead of his fall tour with The Greeting Committee, Bissett is giving us a preview of his infectious energy by way of his anthemic new single, “Tripping Over Air.”
Written about a heartbreak that became a fantastic track, “Tripping Over Air” lets us into Bissett’s tumultuous love life as he walks right into a messy situation. Whether it’s the throbbing percussion or edgy guitar riffs, we find ourselves headbanging to Bissett’s woes. Even if you’re not going through a breakup, “Tripping Over Air” will remind you of the time you got so caught up over someone who really didn’t deserve you.
On “Tripping Over Air,” Aidan Bissett reflected,
“‘Tripping Over Air’ came together after the girl I was seeing told me that she wouldn’t usually see herself with a guy like me. Even though she told me this, I still decided to pursue her, which led to my heart being broken. I got blinded by the girl and missed all the red flags – so I decided to turn that idea into this song.”
