Coming to you from the South Coast of England, Harvey Jay Dodgson took a major interest in jazz legends during childhood and that developed seamlessly into him creating his own music. Having already played several festivals this year, we have no doubt that Dodgson’s 2022 will continue to be his most revolutionary yet. Not long after a feature on Love Island, Dodgson has finally unveiled his romantic new single, “You Belong to Me.”

An ode to Dodgson’s long-lasting relationship with music, “You Belong to Me” sets the scene for a dreamy picnic where the only invitees are the 20-year-old stunner and a precious acoustic guitar. “You Belong to Me” does a stellar job at highlighting Dodgson’s unique vocals atop soulful rhythm guitars that’ll sweep you off your feet. To top it off, the accompanying visual is a single-take video of Dodgson connecting with music like never before.

On “You Belong to Me,” Harvey Jay Dodgson reflected,

“’You Belong to Me’ is my ode to music. Originally written in an afternoon before a gig in an attempt to break up the set towards the end, it captivated the audience with its acoustic vibe, and its simplicity makes it very easy to sing along to. I loved how this song I wrote about my feelings towards music made people interact with music itself, and therefore I decided to record and release it for people who feel the same way. Music has been a part of my life from the very beginning, so thank you, music – you belong to me.”
