Having moved to Los Angeles at just 16 years old, Andi has experienced her fair share of superficiality and social media daydreams. To our benefit, this Gen Z breakout star channels her most emotional moments into incredible ballads that’ll leave you in shambles. We’d even go so far as to say that we may have just discovered our favorite release of 2022: Andi’s heartbreaking new single, “Devil’s Work.”
Within the first verse of “Devil’s Work,” Andi already has us captivated by her gorgeously delicate vocals. Made with a precious piano arrangement, the stunning chorus relays a message that’ll resonate with millions of people who are struggling with insecurities and societal demands. By the end of this hidden gem of a song, we’re entirely convinced that Andi is a force to be reckoned with and surely a name you’ll be hearing more of in the coming months.
On “Devil’s Work,” Andi reflected,
“Keeping up with the pressures of social media, dealing with heartbreak, grief, and loss, I had no idea how to cope. I was shocked that I was feeling this way when all my dreams were coming true. I just wanted my old self back, so I turned to the only thing I knew: writing songs. I was going to the studio every single day to try to figure out how to put how I was feeling into a song, and then I finally did it. I posted this song thinking no one would see it. And then… a lot of people saw it. I was shocked by how many people were going through the same thing so I’m releasing it.”
