grentperez Croons About Inevitable Love with “Clementine”

By Alissa Arunarsirakul // November 12, 2021

Through his gracious bedroom pop, grentperez is single handedly responsible for making us our most romantic selves. The Australia native has been passionate about music for as long as he can remember, and it’s about time you bask in his luscious stylings. Inspired by the 2004 film, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, “Clementine” is grentperez’s latest offering that’ll have you falling in love instantly.

On “Clementine,” grentperez reflected,

“‘Clementine’ is written about a love so strong that even if you chose to wipe your memory, it’s simply inevitable that you will fall in love with this person again. This song takes heavy inspiration from the 2004 film, ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’ so much so it borrows the main character’s name for the title of the song.”

Not only does grentperez tap into his mesmerizing falsetto, but “Clementine” whisks us off our feet by way of swooning instrumentals and charming lyricism. Written about inevitable love, “Clementine” may make your mind wonder about the one that got away. Needless to say, you need to have grentperez on your radar while he continues to leave us all astounded.

“This could also be a song about Human Nature, how the environment around us and the things we remember could change but our feelings and intuition do not.”
