Like most of us, Amethyst grew up singing along to Disney soundtracks; where she differs from the norm is her picking up classical piano and violin lessons at age four. The Chichester native admits that she’s still searching for her sound, but we’d argue that she’s doing all the right things along the way. To introduce you to her soulful R&B tendencies, Amethyst is pleased to present her seductive debut single, “Can’t Let Go.”
On “Can’t Let Go,” Amethyst shared,
“This was really the first song I had single handedly written and produced that I felt comfortable enough to share with others to help develop it. I had been stuck in a rut for quite a while as to what direction I wanted to go in with my music but with this song everything just seemed to come together at once.”
After one listen of “Can’t Let Go,” there’s no denying that Amethyst’s vocal control is beyond this world. Not only does this timeless cut treat us to a delectable bass line, but it also takes us back in time with old school R&B production. Lyrically, “Can’t Let Go” revolves around self-love, which is something Amethyst strongly advocates for in her music.
“I want people to feel empowered when they listen to this track, it’s all about loving yourself, that feeling when someone can’t get enough of you because your love is like no one else’s.”
