A Southern California native destined for success, Alix Page has always been enraptured by music. Growing up humming and singing practically every day, it’s no surprise that Page would later find herself pursuing music full-time. After spending the past year developing her highly anticipated debut EP, Page is treating us to one of her favorite singles yet: “25.”
We’ve all wondered how we’d react if we randomly ran into our exes one day, but Page’s “25” captures this bittersweet feeling in a way we never could. Instrumentally, we’re captivated by Page’s effervescent vocals and the cinematic sonics that’d be perfect for an indie romance film. It’s as if Page read our mind with the “25” visual, which follows her and her past lover reliving their countless memories of young love.
On “25,” Alix Page reflected,
“‘25’ is about reminiscing on a past relationship – going down the rabbit hole of wondering what could have been different and where you’ll both end up later in life. I wrote it at a time where romanticizing the future was the best way to escape everything I was feeling being stuck at home in quarantine. This one is definitely a favorite; in terms of writing and production, I don’t think I’ve ever been prouder of a song.”
