Yumi Nu used to be a songwriter whose sole driving force was a broken heart, but now she strives to dig deeper in every writing session. Tackling topics like anxiety, race, and body image, the Japanese-American newcomer appeals to millions around the world through relatable authenticity. Ready to break boundaries beyond being the first Asian curve model on the cover of Vogue and Sports Illustrated, Nu is pleased to present her untouchable new single, “Bouquets.”

Not only is “Bouquets” an utterly soothing track, but it’s also an empowering R&B anthem that’ll make you fall in love with yourself again. Drizzled in sultry snaps and slick percussion, “Bouquets” is a sonic gem we could listen to for a very long time. All in all, “Bouquets” is merely a taste of what we can expect from Nu’s highly anticipated forthcoming EP, Hajime

On “Bouquets,” Yumi Nu reflected,

“I wrote ‘Bouquets’ in the season of falling in love for the first time. It was important for me for the production to portray a sexy, confident energy. In the process of falling in love with someone, I fell in love with new parts of myself. This song was written in the re-emergence of my own confidence.”
