Now that we’ve discovered the music mastermind that is Jonah Kagen, we’re never letting him go. This gifted Georgia native has an undeniable charisma that makes everyone in his comments section feel acknowledged and appreciated. As Kagen continues to unveil hidden hit after hidden hit, he’s back with a stellar new single, “Wish You Did.”
Even for someone who has thousands of followers across social media, it can be nerve wracking to approach a striking stranger, which is the exact sentiment Kagen shares in “Wish You Did.” Layered with glorious strumming and fierce vocals we certainly don’t deserve, “Wish You Did” just may be our new favorite song of Kagen’s. The accompanying visual walks us through Kagen’s mental attempts to approach a mysterious girl at the bar, but things don’t always go as planned.
On “Wish You Did,” Jonah Kagen shared,
“I wrote this song about seeing someone and being too afraid to go up to them, and wishing they would just come up to you instead.”
