ROSIE has always been one to keep it real and do everything au naturel, which is exactly why we find her so refreshing in today’s day and age. Having already written over 100 songs, this 20-year-old New Yorker has certainly proved her songwriting prowess. Ahead of her forthcoming debut EP, ROSIE is charming us once again with her delicate new single, “to get over you.”
What started off as a melancholic piano ballad has become “to get over you,” a sprightly bop that’ll make your horrible ex disappear from your mind in an instant. Between the playful electronics and pure vocals, “to get over you” confirms why ROSIE is one of our most anticipated acts of 2021. By the end of this intoxicating track, we’re fully entranced by ROSIE and her exceptionally charismatic personality.
On “to get over you,” ROSIE shared,
“‘to get over you’ is about the ups and downs of healing from heartbreak. As the fourth track from my concept EP about the five stages of grief, this song represents the third stage: bargaining. With the help of my producer, Noah Conrad, we turned a piano ballad into a sad summer bop.”
