Plenty of emerging artists have gone viral on TikTok, but morgen is one of the few Gen Z talents that will earn her success the old fashioned way. A 16-year-old from Santa Cruz, morgen is following in her musician father’s footsteps, but with her own bedroom pop twist. Finally ready to share her unheard gems, morgen has unveiled her relatable new single, “Odd One Out.”
morgen certainly makes the misunderstood feel more understood with “Odd One Out,” while uniting all self-proclaimed outcasts in the process. Instrumentally, we’re swooning over morgen’s pitch perfect vocals and the downtempo electronics that make this wonderful cut so liberating. Needless to say, you don’t need to look any further for this generation’s voice because morgen is here to stay.
On “Odd One Out,” morgen explained,
“‘Odd One Out’ is a song about being different from everyone around you, and feeling like you don’t totally fit in anywhere.”
