We’ll let you in on a little secret… Nobody crafts an effortless blend of indie, folk, and pop quite like BEL. Although she’s no stranger to performing on the stage, this California native has only recently begun releasing her own music. As BEL slowly builds up her growing discography, she’s pleased to unveil her wholesome new single, “Isn’t It Romantic?”
On “Isn’t It Romantic?,” BEL shared,
“After going through a breakup last year, I wrote this song through a sort of dramatic lens with some tongue-in-cheek lyrics because it really just felt so intense and silly at the same time.”
Soothing rhythm guitars and moody instrumentals are just a tiny taste of what you’d hear in BEL’s “Isn’t It Romantic?” As BEL recalls a mentally taxing breakup that tempted her to reach out to her ex, “Isn’t It Romantic?” has us face palming ourselves for all the times we’ve stupidly checked in with our exes. By the end of this earwormy track, BEL has us right where she wants us: desperate for more.
“It’s about the in-between period when you don’t have the closure you want and you’re still really missing the person and their family and friends. I think no matter what side of the break you’re on, it takes a lot of willpower not to pick up the phone and act like everything is still normal.”
