Our favorite German pop newcomer is back at it again, folks! Now 18 years old, Zoe Wees has gained quite a massive following in just a few months, but she more than deserves all of the attention. Without further ado, it’s our pleasure to introduce you to Wees’ haunting new single, “Ghost.”
Wees has never been afraid to be vulnerable in her mature songwriting, and that certainly shows in her latest “Ghost.” With her tenacious vocals paired with stellar production, “Ghost” rings loud and clear of why Wees needs to be on your radar immediately. While Wees reflects on what it’s like to let someone get too close to her, “Ghost” reminds us to be careful with who we open ourselves up to.
On “Ghost,” Zoe Wees shared,
“This song was written about letting someone get too close, even if you know they can hurt you. It’s about the feeling of being vulnerable to that person in a way that could basically destroy your life. It was also written in one of my first writing sessions so it feels special to release it.”
