It’s no doubt that almost monday has been absolutely dominating the indie pop world lately, but we’re convinced that they deserve to hit the top charts, worldwide. Comprised of Dawson Daugherty, Cole Clisby, and Luke Fabry, almost monday formed in San Diego with no idea just how successful they’d be today. Just in time for summer, almost monday is treating us to a breezy new single, “hailey beebs.”
Ahh… the season of budding romances has returned, and no one knows this better than almost monday. In true almost monday fashion, “hailey beebs” is drenched in the most electrifying guitars and bouncy production. If you haven’t started to catch feelings for almost monday quite yet, just keep “hailey beebs” on repeat for the next few hours, and you’ll be all caught up.
On “hailey beebs,” almost monday reflected,
“‘hailey beebs’ was an old demo that we had liked for a long time but it kind of just sat on the hard drive. When we reapproached it, we still had a placeholder lyric as the title of the song, and us and our team kept referring to it as the ‘hailey beebs’ demo, which kinda just stuck. It’s pretty arbitrary in the terms of the song but the title just took on an identity of its own, so it felt weird calling it anything else for us.
