If you haven’t already heard of Leyla Blue, you’re missing out on one of today’s most anticipated pop acts that’ll sweep you off your feet. The New York native has been a pivotal voice for female empowerment in her political discography, and it’s safe to say her hard work is paying off. Ready to dominate the pop charts, Blue is back with another radio ready hit by way of her effortlessly gorgeous new single, “Gasoline.”
On “Gasoline,” Leyla Blue reflected,
“I am so excited and grateful to be putting out this song tonight. I wrote it almost two years ago and tonight is the night. Finally. It’s been a whole pandemic. Wow, what a ride. Thank you to everyone who presaved it and supported me. I can’t wait for you to hear the whole thing.”
“Gasoline” is one of those stunning cuts you know would sound just as amazing a capella. Sprinkled with delicate vocals and inviting strings, “Gasoline” has Blue recounting what happened when her date was a no-show, which she knows the feeling of all too well. Edited by Blue herself, the accompanying visual sees the rising artist showing off her best dance moves with the blue skies watching from above.
“Made this music video with my mama on our rooftop and edited it myself, so excited to finally share it with you.”
