California-born, Nashville-based Dasha has been impressing us for quite some time, and it seems like she’s only getting started. Committed to writing every track she releases, Dasha is exactly who plenty of other artists aspire to be. For those of you who haven’t yet basked in Dasha’s pop tendencies, she’s about to leave you stunned with her fabulous new single, “$hiny Things.”
On “$hiny Things,” Dasha explained,
“This song is all about confidence in the person you’re with and within yourself. The ‘shiny things’ are everything that other people have that you don’t. Instead of letting that lead to insecurities, you gotta focus on all the shiny things that you have that others don’t.”
Between the cash register sound bites and glistening instrumentals, “$hiny Things” makes for a fantastic track. Written about being confident in your relationship, “$hiny Things” makes us recognize how rare it can be to find someone you fully trust. As Dasha’s untouchable vocals ring in our ears, we’re already desperate for more pop righteousness from this rising talent.
“I wrote this song last December in LA. It was the first song that I wrote that actually felt genuine to my artistic vision and has inspired so much of the new music that you’ll hear in just a few weeks. Today, it came out into the world and I couldn’t be happier.”
