Having worked with Dr. Dre and Anderson .Paak, Cocoa Sarai is no stranger to GRAMMY-winning music. Not only does Sarai have an absurd amount of spunk like no one else, but this New Yorker is easily one of the most brilliant acts we’ve covered yet. Her incredible new single, “No Apologies” sounds like an oldie but a goodie, so it’s unbelievable that Sarai has managed to craft this old school jam to suit the modern age.

On “No Apologies,” Cocoa Sarai shared,

“Women don’t have to be one thing — men are never asked to be ONE thing — and we’re NOT apologizing for it.”

Opening with the grooviest bass lines, “No Apologies” immediately throws us into Sarai’s funky frenzy of dancey beats and soul-infused harmonies. As Sarai exudes confidence in “No Apologies,” we’re reminded of how unapologetic women should be when it comes to societal pressures. By the end of “No Apologies,” we’re completely blown away by the ferocious brass and Sarai’s limitless positivity.

“‘No Apologies’ got me feeling like I was born in the wrong era… Thank you to everyone streaming and sharing it.”
