You heard it here first… an artist like Kid Bloom only comes by once in a blue moon. The Los Angeles-based stunner has been impressing us release after release, and it’s about time you familiarize yourself with this indie mastermind. What better way to introduce you to Kid Bloom than an luscious collaboration with Jesse Rutherford of The Neighbourhood: “In One Ear.”
Delectable synths and otherworldly electric guitars are huge elements of Kid Bloom’s signature sound, and “In One Ear” certainly doesn’t stray away from that. The new “In One Ear” video presents Kid Bloom and Jesse competing in a grueling tennis match that basically qualifies both aspiring athletes for the Olympics. Although they had to suffer through the unbearable Los Angeles heat, we’re glad the end result is an entertaining vintage visual.
On “In One Ear,” Kid Bloom reflected,
“Working with Jesse is super visceral and in the moment. Nothing leaves it. Whatever excites us stays and the rest doesn’t matter. Honestly it feels like having a conversation.”
