This isn’t the first time we’ve covered dae zhen, and it certainly won’t be the last. The Fontana native began making music in his college dorm room, but now we’re incredibly grateful that his music is on airwaves worldwide. With countless truths to tell, dae zhen is ready to whisk you away with his stellar new single, “Smoke About It.”
Written about a loss of inspiration, “Smoke About It” reminds us of the days we haven’t felt completely satisfied with where we’re at in life. Between the charming plucks and invigorating electronics, “Smoke About It” has just about everything we’ve always adored about dae zhen’s rich soundscape. To top it off, we’re treated to a suspenseful “Smoke About It” visual that’ll keep you on your toes until the very end.
On “Smoke About It,” dae zhen shared,
“‘You used to inspire me, and lately it’s just tiring’ was where this song clicked for me. I wanted to describe that ‘I like this, but I can live without it’ feeling a lot of us have had.”
