It may be hard to believe, but we’re only just now discovering the Australian talent that is Blake Rose. Almost always incorporating a handy six-string into his music, Rose gifts us with the most stunning ballads. Now in 2020, Rose is more than pleased to unveil his lovely music video for the alluring “Ordinary People.”
On “Ordinary People,” Blake Rose reflected,
“I don’t fall for people very easily, but when I do it’s hard and very spontaneous. I was hanging out with this girl for no longer than a week, but I fell head over heels and this song is a result of that. It’s a word for word recount of exactly what happened during that brief but unforgettable period of time.”
For those of us who’ve been completely swept off our feet, “Ordinary People” certainly takes us back to those moments of pure bliss. Directed by Matt Sav, the breathtaking visual features Rose in his purest form with nothing but an acoustic guitar and an otherworldly view just outside of Perth, Australia. By the end of the “Ordinary People” music video, we feel at peace with ourselves and the world for once.
“I originally wanted to perform this at the actual lookout you see in the single artwork, but being that it is in LA and I’m currently in Perth, that wasn’t possible. The video’s director Matt Sav and I tried to find a location that evoked a similar feeling and vibe as the original lookout where I took this girl on our first date. I’m happy with how it turned out.”
