We’ve had Anna Sofia’s new Broken Perfection EP on repeat since it dropped, and so should you. Although Sofia is only 17, she has already honed her songwriting skills geared towards Generation Z. Taken off Broken Perfection, “Don’t Play Pretend” is now accompanied by a lighthearted music video that’ll have you on your feet in no time.
Drenched in playful electronics and bouncy production, “Don’t Play Pretend” is easily one of Sofia’s best tracks yet. The recently released “Don’t Play Pretend” visual follows Sofia as she’s home alone all weekend. Between the makeshift fashion shows and smoothie experiments, the “Don’t Play Pretend” video ignites our childlike tendencies and reminds us how to have youthful fun again.
Anna Sofia shared,
“I don’t have a message. It’s just real life. One day, I hope to fill stadiums all over the world. I want to have fans everywhere and have some way of helping them or guiding them through my music. My confidence comes from being myself and connecting with people.”
