Ever since his parents surprised him with a light-up keyboard in first grade, Zachary Knowles has been completely drawn to music. The Texas native eventually found major success on SoundCloud, and now he’s making even more waves with his recent releases. If you haven’t already, we highly recommend you peruse Knowles’ impressive discography–starting with his lovely new single, “slow summer.”
Whether it’s the pleasant ukulele plucks or Knowles’ comforting lyrics, “slow summer” wholeheartedly presents a picture perfect scene in a time of uneasiness. Reminding us to smell life’s roses every now and then, “slow summer” quite literally makes us feel like time stops as we listen to the calming track. After one listen of “slow summer,” we’re thrilled to see what the future has in store for this Texan star in the making.
On “slow summer,” Zachary Knowles shared,
“‘slow summer’ is finally out. This song means so much to me. I wrote it with Peter Fenn back in October and since then it’s taken on a whole new meaning. I could go on about it for a while, so I’ll sum up my thoughts with this. Spend time with those you love every chance you get. Also, meet new people and be kind to them. We live in such a fast paced world where it’s easy to get caught up in the day to day and forget to focus on the little moments that we’re blessed with. This song is a reminder to just slow down a little, and live in the moment. I hope y’all love it as much as I do.”
