Get ready to meet your newest electro-pop obsession because CXLOE has unleashed an infectious banger for the books. It’s almost as if crafting radio worthy tunes comes completely naturally for the Australian talent. As we all find ways to cope with the current pandemic, CXLOE is addressing something of utmost importance with her hypnotizing new single, “12 Steps.”

On “12 Steps,” CXLOE explained,

“‘12 Steps’ is about addiction. Addiction runs in my family and I’ve always wanted to tell my story in a way that felt comfortable to me and those around me. The song mirrors the steps of the program through the eyes of a toxic relationship.”

As CXLOE tackles addiction head on in “12 Steps,” we’re fully blown away by her enchanting electronics and moving lyricism. Co-written with Michael Pollack (Charli XCX) and produced by Andrew Wells (Bebe Rexha) and The Futuristics (Selena Gomez), “12 Steps” is, without a doubt, a fabulous track ready for our airwaves. Shot in Melbourne, the accompanying visual depicts a troubled CXLOE facing her inner demons once and for all, but will she reign victorious?

“I’ve spent time over the years becoming familiar with the program and think it is as important to treat unhealthy, toxic relationships with the same attention. Whether the addiction is to alcohol, food, shopping, or a person, it all comes back to pain. And that’s something I can relate to. Seeking something or someone to mask pain.”
