Run River North has a long history, but they’ve made it this far and they’re still going strong. Comprised of Alex Hwang, Daniel Chae, and Sally Kang, Run River North is an independent band that’s always blown music lovers away with their genreless discography. Now in 2020, Run River North is treating us to their eclectic new single, “Pretty Lies.”
Fusing together indie and alternative rock, “Pretty Lies” features jangly guitars and hard-hitting percussion. As Run River North showcases their versatility, “Pretty Lies” reminds us to expect the unexpected from this Los Angeles trio. The accompanying visual has Kang rocking out to “Pretty Lies” as she cruises through the City of Angels.
On “Pretty Lies,” Run River North shared,
“’Pretty Lies’ came out of the first time we met with Sir Sly’s Landon, Jason, and Hayden. Songwriting sessions between bands can become complicated Tinder dates with simultaneous multiple partners, but we’re happy that everyone swiped right and turned a pretty lie into one of our most creative and fun songs in the RRN catalogue.”
