Having worked with Wiz Khalifa and Jessie Reyez, THEY. is quite the accomplished duo. Comprised of Drew Love and Dante Jones, THEY. is planning a triumphant return with their forthcoming The Amanda Tape mixtape, which will perfectly encapsulate what THEY. has been up to lately. But before that, THEY. is breaking boundaries with their hypnotic new single, “Count Me In.”
On “Count Me In,” THEY. explained,
“This is the song that really set the tone for our upcoming album. It’s got a bit of everything we are known for: guitars, harmonies, [and] that ’90s feel with our own twist.”
With innovation in mind, THEY. refuses to comply with the typical R&B mold and incorporates trap beats and infectious rock into “Count Me In.” Written about someone who remains by your side through thick and thin, “Count Me In” has us thinking about our tight circle of friends. Whether you have a ride or die or not, “Count Me In” is dedicated to the real ones in your life.
“There was just a lot of changes happening at once: business, breakups, everything. We all need that person that’s gonna ride with you, through the good and the bad.”
