Thanks to fresh acts like Honestly, indie pop has truly been thriving! Comprised of Eric Canto and Dalton Winters, the east coast duo incorporates the most engaging sonics into their moving tales of love and heartbreak. Ahead of their forthcoming debut album, Honestly is giving us a generous preview with a nostalgic new single, “San Francisco.”
On “San Francisco,” Honestly reflected,
“‘San Francisco’ was inspired by a real experience, with literal lyrics and direct references. The song sums up the entire message of the album, and we hope that people can relate to its inspirational yet nostalgic messaging.”
Winters and his ex may have had a devastating falling out, but their cherished memories are exactly what led to the creation of an utterly refreshing track. An homage to the home of the Golden Gate Bridge, “San Francisco” details the pure bliss the promising couple experienced during their stay. Between the hypnotic synths and stellar production, it’s no wonder that we have full faith that Honestly will leave you begging for more.
“This song was the moment we knew that this project should be taken more seriously, and that we had something very special. This song perfectly exemplifies the feelings of nostalgia, infatuation, and excitement consistent with summertime.”
