Most of us are still trying to figure out what our purpose in life is, but will hyde is fortunate enough to already know that music is his calling. The 20-year-old Australian is now more ready than ever before to launch his solo career, and we’re all for it. With a debut EP in the works, will hyde is kindly introducing himself with a fantastic new single, “easy for u.”
On “easy for u.,” will hyde explained,
“‘easy for u.’ is a song about giving more in a relationship than you are getting back. It’s reaching a point of awareness where you can finally see how you really stand with another person. Awareness, I think, is the most important thing when it comes to anything… life, relationships, friendships. I wanted to write a song about reaching that point of clarity. It doesn’t mean anything has to change, I find that realization powerful.”
Indie pop was already thriving, but newcomer hyde is taking us to a whole nother level. Drenched with stirring electronics and vibrant production, “easy for u.” encourages us to recognize our own worth in a relationship because oftentimes we’re not given the respect and love we deserve. The accompanying visual offers cool tones as hyde reminds us of the neverending thoughts we can’t contain in the shower.
“Sometimes we run into things that we don’t know how to deal with so we mask it with alcohol, pills–anything we can do to try and run away from the past. It’s tough to be a part of a relationship where you are slowly watching a person fade, or losing a part of yourself, because of it.”
