This isn’t the first time we’re sharing Florida-based seeyousoon, but it may as well be. With a completely unfamiliar sonic approach, the intriguing nine-piece manages to surprise us with their daring innovation. If you’ve never heard of seeyousoon, jump into their impressive discography with their dancey new single, “Blue Chord.”
What began with experimentation has easily become one of seeyousoon’s best tracks yet. “Blue Chord” features elements of hip hop and house, which is a deliciously pleasant treat from the eclectic group. The accompanying visual offers a virtual Zoom dance party with the seeyousoon members in the comfort of their own homes, which has us experiencing some major FOMO.
On “Blue Chord,” seeyousoon shared,
“To us, ‘Blue Chord’ is a stand-out moment from our upcoming album. It started out as more of an experiment than anything, trying out more dance-forward production and writing. When it was all said and done, the track ended up becoming one of our favorites. Not only that but it also served as a reminder to stay loose and keep an open mind in regard to trying new things with our music.”
