You may recognize Jeffrey James from NBC’s Songland, but we personally feel like his enormous talent stretches beyond a television show. An accomplished alt-pop artist in his own right, James has the astounding vocal abilities of Sam Smith and Lewis Capaldi, and he still manages to stand apart from the rest. If you haven’t already, prepare to fall in love with James with his stunning “Aftermath” video.
A simple compilation of video clips from his trip to Trouville-sur-Mer in Normandy, France, the “Aftermath” visual is as breathtaking as the soulful track itself. As we join James and his wife on the windy beach, we can’t help but feel some sort of emotional connection through the lovely couple. Even though the piano-driven track didn’t need an accompanying visual, we’re so glad we got a chance to virtually visit France while we’re stuck in quarantine.
On the “Aftermath” video, Jeffrey James shared,
“Sometimes you find footage from your trip to the beach at Trouville in Normandy, France, and it works perfectly with your new single.”
