Although he’s merely 18 years old and only has a handful of singles to his name, Oscar Welsh is most certainly a newcomer well worth your time. The writer and producer of everything he releases, this rising indie pop artist crafts his stunning discography straight out of his Suffolk bedroom. As the seasons change and weather turns, Welsh offers some enlightenment with his moody new single, “S.A.D.”

With delicate synths and Welsh’s smooth vocals, “S.A.D” is a sun-soaked track destined to be the next bedroom pop anthem. “S.A.D” was written at a time when Welsh was experiencing major depression because of the coming winter and a recent breakup. The accompanying visual depicts Welsh and company racing on dirt bikes with no shortage of colorful smoke bombs.

On “S.A.D,” Oscar Welsh shared,

“As it started getting cold outside, I had a relationship end. I’m also a borderline self-diagnosed Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D) sufferer. So these two things combined to create the song.”
