Although we’ve seen a plethora of recognizable names arise from Atlanta, none have quite been like the emerging Zaia. The talented 22-year-old may not have a full-length record out yet, but he’s already proven his worth through a handful of impressive singles and EPs. Zaia doesn’t just make music; he sparks movements–just as he does with his incredible new single, “INNERSTATE.”

This percussion driven track hears the very influences of hip hop, R&B, and funk that produce Zaia’s genre bending sound. As we sense Zaia’s emotional struggle throughout “INNERSTATE,” we’re pushed to reflect on the countless moments we’ve been tempted to escape life by abandoning all that we know. The “INNERSTATE” visual, directed by The Misunderstoods and Patrick Tohill, details the corrupt ways of racial profiling, police brutality, and injustice.

On the “INNERSTATE” video, Zaia shared,

“‘INNERSTATE’ video out now! And the foot is all the way on the gas.”
