It’s not every day we get to witness the rise of well-deserving Arkansas duos, but joan defies the odds and continues to prove their worth. Comprised of Alan Benjamin Thomas and Steven Rutherford, joan changes the entire indie pop scene solely by their existence. As their first release of the year, joan is reminding us of why we’re so obsessed with them with an infectious new single, “love me better.”
As joan spoils us with delectable synths and retro vibes, “love me better” makes it nearly impossible to not bust out our best dance moves. If the catchy chorus isn’t enough for you, then the carefree visual will certainly win you over. Not all great songs need high production music videos, and joan proves exactly that with their lighthearted antics on a basketball court in the “love me better” video.
On the “love me better” visual, joan shared,
“Set a camera on a tripod for thirty minutes and made a cute lil video for ‘love me better.’”
