Making grilled cheeses out of a food truck just wasn’t enough for Phil Good. After relocating to sunny Los Angeles in 2016, the Portland native dove deep into music as he began writing and recording for other artists. At a time of uncertainty, Good is generously comforting us with an infectious new single, “Living With No One.”
Good has never been a stranger to delectable synths, and “Living With No One” reaffirms that. With bouncy rhythms and carefree vocals, “Living With No One” focuses on Good’s life post-breakup as he learns to live alone again. The accompanying visual reminds us of Napoleon Dynamite’s unforgettable dance scene, but with a lovable Phil Good twist.
On “Living With No One,” Phil Good shared,
“I wrote this song post-breakup after a few months of living completely alone for the first time in my life. It was tough, but eventually, I learned to cherish and celebrate being alone. I think a lot of people can relate to those feelings of loneliness and isolation right now more than ever, and it’s so important to find happiness any way you can in these tough times. If dancing by yourself helps, do it.”
