If you’re a fan of daze-pop and you haven’t heard of Great News, you’re doing something wrong. The Norwegian trio is inspired by 90s fashion, 80s beats, and Norway’s beautiful nature for not just their music, but also as humans. Prepare to embark on a sonic journey through trippy synths and jaunty keys with Great News’ eerie new single, “Stranger In The Hallway.”
Great News fully understands how sacred genuine human connection is. They find it so meaningful that they even wrote a song about it, which explains “Stranger In The Hallway.” The eerie track opens with haunting synths, which are later joined by effortless vocals and crushing keys. As we’re absolutely mesmerized by “Stranger In The Hallway,” we’re reminded of how Great News can do no wrong.
On “Stranger In The Hallway,” Great News explained,
“You know when you see someone on the bus, across a crowded room, or even in the hallway and you make intense, soul-deep eye contact, and then you can’t get the person out of your head? That is what this song is about.”
