Alec Molborg grew up in a musical household, so it only makes sense that he decided to pursue music outside of home. The now 18-year-old Finnish eventually adopted the moniker Louie Blue, which is a force that has been dominating the underground indie pop scene. Not long after he released his critically acclaimed debut Notes EP, Blue is back with a groovy single that’ll send a thrilling rush throughout your entire body: “Hit It!”
On “Hit It!,” Louie Blue explained,
“This song was actually one of the three first songs that Pepe Jean Jr. and I ever made, alongside ‘Confused’ and ‘Down the Road.’ It’s a funky pop song full of good vibes and energy. Perfect for summer clubs and festival clouds.”
With the funkiest bass lines and the tastiest synths, “Hit It!” is an absolute gem. With Blue digging deeper into funk than ever before, “Hit It!” showcases the rising artist’s ability to be fearless with experimentation. The equally-compelling visual for “Hit It!” sees Blueberry Jones and company soaking in the sunlight on a scorching summer day–which is something we’re seriously missing right now.
“This is the song that makes you dance while you’re walking down the street and you make a complete fool out of yourself although you think you look like the coolest guy in the world. It makes the rainy day feel like it’s shining.”
