An avant-garde artist in his own right, Latir fuses his admiration of hip hop, old school jazz, indie, and electronic music to craft an alternative R&B sound like no other. The Londoner was pushed into church and school choirs as a child, and his love for the clarinet grew stronger as the days went on. Now in 2020, Latir has joined forces with Leeds-based producer Luvian for an inspiring new single, “Wallflower.”

On “Wallflower,” Latir shared,

“This was actually the first creation Alex (Luvian) and I ever got started on. We made the verses on my birthday a while back but couldn’t get the chorus quite right that day, a year later we revisited it and the chorus came like a spark out of nowhere, and I think we have both been in love with the tune ever since! For me it represents all the things I love with music, classic melodies, a fun story line, a serious bounce and a concept that has been close to the heart since I could remember! This one is a staple piece for me for sure.”

Being the selfless charmer he is, Latir released “Wallflower” on his birthday as a special gift for his allured audience. With familiar elements of jazz’s earlier years, “Wallflower” is joined by Luvian’s lovable synths that’ll leave you speechless. As Latir fantasizes over the idealistic persona he desires to be like and fall in love with, we can’t help but swoon at the charming “Wallflower” music video.

“I really want to make music that affects people, inspired by their moments… whether it’s love or other stuff. My aim is to transcend people now and forever, to make them really relate and feel. In the most nostalgic, melancholic, chill way ever.”
