South Africa’s Nick Leng really has no use for genres. With bursts of indie, electronic, hip hop, alternative, pop, and everything else you can think of, the Los Angeles-based artist’s discography truly has no limits. Ahead of his forthcoming album, LEMONS, Leng has released an experimental track that’s completely appropriate for our current world state: “Music to Clean the House To.”
Just as he does with everything he lays his fingers on, Leng weaves the most intriguing soundscapes into the otherworldly “Music to Clean the House To.” Throughout the absorbing track, we catch whiffs of aggressive synths, soulful vocals, and intense percussion that’ll have you running for the door. With demolished pianos and spine-chilling puppets, the accompanying visual is just as riveting as “Music to Clean the House To.”
On “Music to Clean the House to,” Nick Leng shared,
“Perhaps no better time in history to be staying home cleaning your damn house.”
